Passive House buildings achieve very high energy efficiency through increased insulation levels, improved construction techniques and materials and reduced requirements for heating and cooling equipment. They provide superb thermal comfort throughout the year while using only a tiny fraction of the energy used by traditional buildings. Passive House standard can be applied to residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings.
